Taurat Hossain (he/him) is a New York–based fashion Photographer.

Alongside his fashion and commercial work, Taurat has also covered selective editorial photo assignments with a strong cultural and social sensitivity, on topics including free speech, politics, immigration, human rights, LGBTQ+ issues, and women’s reproductive rights.

His photography has appeared in the styles section, art & culture, opinion and/or the business desk across Architectural Digest, The New York Times, L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Groovevolt, Insider, VOX, The Atlantic, Anadolu Ajansi, Documented, and other fashion and culture publications.

His work was recognized by The Washington Post as part of the Best Styles Photos of 2024.

Taurat has also been commissioned to photograph for Bloomberg Originals’ television show Bullish.

Taurat is also an accredited freelance Producer, curating events and performances for emerging New York artists, musicians, comedians, and theatre productions—featured by TimeOut NY and Teen Vogue.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Taurat became a writer for the sitcom, The Morning Huddle.
